The Purpose of Joy

Joy is the purpose of existence. To know joy is to come unto Christ, to feel His redeeming love, and to radiate His light into the lives of others. Yet, joy cannot remain hidden; it must be shared, like a flame that grows brighter when passed from one to another.

A Personal Realization

This truth became clear to me as I reflected on my own path. For too long, my efforts to serve have been centered on words alone—on asking what I might write to bring others to Him. But the Lord has shown me a better way: to lift, to act, and to be an instrument of joy.

The Work of Lifting Others

To lift others is to magnify the light within them, to awaken their divine potential. It is to shine the light of Christ so brightly that all who see it feel the warmth of His love. This is the work of joy. It is not done in isolation but through community, through connection, and through faith.

To be an instrument of joy is to radiate Christ’s light to everyone within your circle of influence. It begins with conversion unto the Lord—feeling the joy of His forgiveness, forgiving others, and being filled with His love. This divine joy compels the heart to serve, to magnify talents, and to make the world brighter and holier.

With this clarity—and a touch of divine revelation—I am recommitting to the work of lifting hearts and shining light. This is not merely an aspiration; it is a covenant to emulate Christ in word, deed, and spirit.
